ASX wrap up (23.09.25)

The S&P/ASX 200 extended Monday’s gains and finished Tuesday’s session 0.4% higher to 8,845.9 points, supported by the miners and the banks.
The local miners rode on stronger iron ore prices, as China is reducing its steel production. And the gold players extended recent gains, with Northern Star up 2.7%.
The major banks benefited from positive sentiment, with CBA advancing by 0.8% over the session.
In company news, Myer was hammered on its 30% drop in FY25 net profit. The stock lost 25% today, while Cettire went in the other direction, up 18.8% as its founder bought additional shares.
In healthcare, Telix Pharmaceuticals was up a comfortable 9.2% upon receiving reimbursement approval in the United States.
Meanwhile DroneShield hit a near 4-week high, saying it will expand its R&D operations in the US.
Tonight, investors will direct their attention to Jerome Powell’s speech on the US economic outlook. While inflation data is due locally tomorrow.
